Senior Congress leaders, including TPCC chief N. Uttam Kumar Reddy, working president Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, Leaders of the Opposition in Assembly and Council K. Jana Reddy and Mohd. Ali Shabbir, on Thursday accused Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao of behaving like a sadist towards the student community by not releasing funds for the fee reimbursement scheme over the last few months. Mr Uttam Kumar Reddy alleged that Mr Rao has pushed nearly 14 lakh students into depression by not clearing their fee reimbursement dues.
Addressing a well-attended meeting organised by NSUI and Youth Congress at L.B. Nagar Crossroads on Thursday, the TPCC chief said that overwhelming response to Congress’ signature campaign on fee reimbursement issue clearly shows the frustration and anger of the student community against the TRS government. He said that Mr Rao has broken the rhythm of academic career of lakhs of students across TS.
