Senior Kapu leaders in Andhra on Tuesday decided to step up their agitation in the state for the government to provide reservation to their community.
A meeting was held between senior leaders in Hyderabad.

Former minister and senior Kapu leader Mudragada Padmanabham presided over the meeting. Senior Kapu leaders Dasari Narayana Rao and Botsa Satyanarayana were also present. Later, Padmanabham told media that they would hold agitations all over the state once in a fortnight.
“Our deadline to the AP government on implementation of quota for Kapus ended in August.There has been no response from the state government.We have decided to intensify our agitation. We will not rest till the quota is achieved,“ Padmanabham was quoted has saying.
