Satyanarayana Singh alias Sattu Singh, the owner and builder of the seven-storeyed under-construction building that collapsed at Nanakramguda recently, was taken into custody in Kerala.
Ever since the mishap occurred, Sattu Singh ran away from Hyderabad and remained in cognito. A search was on to nab him. Finally, he was located in Kerala and has since been taken into custody.
Sattu Singh is said to be close to the ruling TRS government and there have been allegations from the Congress that the ruling party has been lenient towards Sattu Singh. Singh began as a bootlegger and was earlier known as “Gudumba Singh.” before he became a realter-builder.
The under-construction building collapse claimed 11 lives, most of them labourers from Chhattisgarh. The administration worked incessantly for over 28 hours to clear the debris. They managed to save two people from under the debris.
