Speaker Kodela directed the Assembly secretary to issue notices to YSRCP MLA Roja for making derogatory and false remarks against him.
YSRCP MLA R K Roja landed in fresh trouble while faulting Assembly Speaker Dr Kodela Siva Prasada Rao for allegedly participating in mock voting conducted by TDLP for its` members in Assembly before the Presidential poll.
Speaking to the media persons along with other women members after casting vote for Presidential poll at Assembly premises on Monday, Roja said that she is very happy to cast vote for the Presidential elections for the first time. Opining that the election of first citizen of the country should be unanimous, she said that was the reason why her party chief Y S Jaganmohan Reddy supported the candidature of NDA.
Reacting sharply on Assembly Speaker Kodela participating in mock voting conducted by TDLP before the Presidential poll, she alleged that Speaker Kodela is behaving more like a TDP leader than as Speaker and violating the rules.
She said that he is denigrating the Speaker post as he is doing it repeatedly. Earlier Speakers like Nadendla Manohar and Suresh Reddy never took part in party meetings or wore party’s scarf, but Kodela is demeaning the dignity of the Speaker`s post, she alleged.
