Good Doctor, bad doctor similarly Good Pranic healer and bad Pranic healer. If a patient loses all hopes on modern science and the top doctors have no cure for their problems, people obviously will choose alternative medicine like Ayurveda, Homeopathy and Healing techniques like Reiki, Acupuncture, Pranic healing etc.

Rationalist Babu Gogineni tried to break the myths of people who believe in Pranic healing by checking the Blood Pressure of the healer on TV and asking the healer to cure his own hypertension problem. The way Rationalist checked the blood pressure of the healer is incorrect and he has put healer on spot which will definitely increase Blood pressure of any individual. Healer couldn’t cure his issue and  Gogineni is making a point that these healing techniques are useless.  Gogineni also says Vastu Shastra is to cheat people for money. But the ABN channel who sponsored Gogineni’s program and ABN Editors favorite leader CBN are firm believers of Vastu Shastra.

No medicine is proven to be 100% right and people take chances depending on their budget, availability and knowledge.  Govt should educate people on these alternative medicines and the success rates. If modern medicine is not helping people, what should they be doing? Many doctors in India are corrupt and some Doctors moved to other countries to make money at the expense of tax payers money.  No patient will choose alternative medicine if there is any emergency.

What is Pranic Healing?

Pranic healing is called a ‘claimed energy healing system’. It was founded by a Philippine-national businessman of Chinese descent, Choa Kok Sui in.

According to practitioners, ‘Prana’ or life force, is a “bio-energy that keeps the body alive and maintains a state of good health.”

The practitioners claim that the healing process of the body, can be accelerated by increasing this ‘life force’, by tapping it from their surroundings. A pranic healer claims to ‘draw’ this life force from the surroundings, and pass it on to the patient.

Pranic healers also claim that “physical ailments first appear as energetic disruptions in the aura before manifesting as problems in the physical body.”

However, many scientists and rationalists have questioned the claims and say there is no scientific basis for this healing.
