The News Minute is reporting that Times Now Editor in Chief Arnab Goswami has quit his position and could start another venture. He reportedly announced this in a editorial meeting, and “told his team that he will start something on his own.”
He told the editorial team that he believes in the media, and that he will continue in television.
The grapevine has it that the channel will be funded by an entrepreneur based out of South India and an international media house may also be part of the venture. Though TNM reached out to the entrepreneur, he denied the same.
“The valuation has been going on for some time. It’s a favorable deal,” said the source.
There had been talks with another entrepreneur too, but those talks broke down. This information was confirmed by multiple sources to TNM.
While none of the principals have put out any information about this, The News Minute (TNM) has learnt that an announcement confirming the new venture is imminent.
