The Railway Budget allocation for Telangana during 2018-19 has gone up by 5 per cent at ₹1,813 crore as against ₹1,729 crore last year.
For Andhra Pradesh, it increased 8 per cent at ₹3,670 crore (₹3,406 crore), Vinod Kumar Yadav, General Manager, South Central Railway (SCR), told newspersons at a press conference here on Tuesday.
“For infrastructure, SCR has been sanctioned ₹5,752 crore for 2018-19 which is much higher than ₹5,669 crore sanctioned last year,” Yadav said.
For the newlines, the budgetary grant is ₹1,757 crore. Allocation for passenger amenities went up by 77 per cent to ₹120 crore.
